1965 RHD Standard
$50 - Raffle
I have decided to raffle
this bus with the proceeds going to my sister and her battle with cancer.
More info on her battle can be found here
www.caringbridge.org/visit/sbettiga
Info on all of our fundraising can be found here
http://www.stephaniebfundraiser.com
Tickets are $50 each with a limited amount of 1000 tickets being sold.
The winner will be drawn at the fundraiser in Windsor, Ca Sept. 25th.
The winner does not need to be present to win.
Tickets can be bought up to the day of the event.
Tickets can be paid for in person with cash, via PayPal or by sending a check.
All of the proceeds are going to help my sister Stephanie Bettiga.
In order to make this as worthwhile as possible for Stephanie we NEED to sell a
minimum of 500 tickets. If we do not reach that by the raffle date all money
will be refunded and the bus will be auctioned off with a reserve instead.
I doubt 500 tickets is going to be a problem, but I want to make sure people
have all the facts.
To buy tickets, drop me an email or call and I will give you the needed info.
This right hand drive (RHD) bus is originally from Great Britain and was a Devon camper conversion.
A few years back a previous owner pulled the interior and replaced it with seats,
which are correct for RHD with the middle seat having the "flipper" on the left side.
Soon after all 3 rows of seats were recovered in originally style covers from TMI.
The middle seat could use some TLC as the cover was not made for a RHD out of the box and had to be fitted.
The rest of the interior (door panels, headliner, rear cargo shelf and side panels) are original to the bus.
The front floor mat in an original RHD piece in excellent condition, the rear mat is a new reproduction.
The upper white paint is all original with the tent mount holes being filled with white plugs.
The lower green paint is original in most area, however the rockers, and one dogleg had some rust repair done
and the paint was blended in those area to match the original stuff.
The job was well done as seen in the pictures, but if you are looking for the blends in person you can see them.
The bumpers and wheels were repaired / repainted at the same time the rust repair was done, so they look great!!
Moving to the running gear:
Within the last 500 miles the 1600cc engine was resealed, rear axle seals replaced,
front brakes gone through, the fluids were replaced and all grease fittings were lubed.
New 14" tires with thin whitewalls were installed at the same time.
The *only* issue with the bus is the gas gauge is temperamental,
still being a 6v bus the lights are a little dim, and the blinkers are slow.
Aside from those minor issues, this bus is ready to get in and drive anywhere!
It is currently being used as a daily driver and can easily keep up on the freeway, cruising 65 with no problem.
1962 Convertible
$7000 - $11,500
Good running driving
convertible bug.
This is an original black car with red interior, however the outside is
currently sprayed a stain black over a red respray from previous owners., some
of which can be seen under the hood and decklid.
Interior is original black paint from the factory.
The bad...
Has *major* rust in the pan and some rust in the rear 1/4's (under the fenders
at bumper mounts) and support rails.
A complete 'vert pan as well as new metal for the rear 1/4 rust is included
The good...
Pan and body numbers match.
Runs, drives and stops with no problems.
12v car with new starter, recent tune up on the 1600cc engine.
All windows / frames are there and work fine. Some frames need to be re chromed
but work fine for a driver.
Vert decklid, rear view mirror, locking glove box, locking hood release and lock
column all in good working order.
Front end is a 6" narrowed beam with DRUM dropped spindles. Wheel adapters were
used to get the Porsche pattern wheels on in both the front and back. Brakes
have been inspected and adjusted recently as well.
Accessories also included are a nice original Empi GT wheel with repop horn
button and ring (still needs button internals, cover turn signal switch cover,
euro spec tail light lenses, and repop Albert mirrors.
Headlight screens, YOM plates / frames, and shift lock are NOT included in the
sale.
All interior is new, door panels, seat covers with correct vert "vented" seat
backs, hinge covers, a new carpet it (not installed), and rear seat kick panels.
Top frame and rear window are in good shape, but the vinyl top could use a
replacement. I opted to go the easy route with a new black stayfast canvas top
boot as I had no intentions of driving in the rain.
This is currently my daily driver VW so any issues have been fixed. The floor
pan is terrible, no getting around that. I currently have wood on the drivers
side to keep the seat and my feet from dragging on the ground. You could drive
it like this until you have time to do a pan swap. I have been with no problems.
For extra $$ I can do a pan swap for you before pickup.
I'm selling for the advertised price of $7000 with no wheels / tires.
Hoping someone has a nice set of wheels they want to run on it.
If not, you can pick your wheels options and your price below
Bring you own wheel - $7000
Stocks - $7200
Repop Sprint Stars - $8000
4.5 / 5.5 repop chrome Fuchs - $8500
5.5 chromed / detailed Earlies - $11,500
Any wheel combo will come with 165's in the rear and 135's in the front.
Current pics have it on 195/60's and 145/65's
1957 Oval Window
$7500
This was bought from 2nd owner who rebuilt it in 1978 in Gila Bend AZ.
They drove it for 2 weeks there then drove it to Phoenix.
During the drive to Phoenix, it got an oil leak.
He parked it inside his
garage and it didn't see the light of day until 2006 when the current owner
bought it.

Featured in Ultra VW last summer
Car is currently located in the UK
This is 1 of 1956 Country Buggies made and probably the only one you'll see with this much attitude!
All new floors sills (rockers) and it's been body dropped 3 1/2
inches in the front.
Hand made wheel tubs at the rear so it can have big meats and still be lay'd
out.

with drop spindles.

with OG air filter.
